Supernaturalās Jared Padelecki confirmed heās finally ready to make an appearance on The Boys following the CWās recent cancelation of the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot.
āWell, Iāll say this: Kripke and I texted today. Itās not been written yet, but I think he was saying [the final season] doesnāt even film until 2025. So yeah, Iām going to go play in Kripkeās newest playground. I had a great time the first time around, so Iām sure Iāll have a great time here again,ā Padalecki recently confirmed in a new interview with Variety. āI love the show. I think itās hilarious and exciting. But you were asking what my plans for the future wereāand I love Jensen and Eric Kripke. Obviously, Iāll be indebted to [Kripke] and entangled with him forever. I met my wife because of him. I was Sam Winchester because of him. Supernatural happened because of him. So working with him on a show that I enjoy, Iām like, āYeah, when do I fly out?ā But I donāt think we would film until at least January.ā
Naturally, this was a long time coming. Itās been speculated the former Supernatural co-star would eventually crossover to creator Eric Kripkeās latest show, and it looks like heāll make it in the nick-of-timeājust before The Boys concludes with its fifth season next year. Recently, Kripke opined to Entertainment Weekly a Sam/Dean reunion would potentially ābreak the internet,ā so while we can only speculate what depraved character heāll ultimately play on the show, itās likely heāll be sharing screen time with Jensen Acklesā Captain America proxy, Soldier Boy.
In addition to Acklesāand now Padelecki, it seemsāThe Boys has additionally seen appearances from Supernatural alums Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jim Beaver, Nathan Mitchell, Lesley Nicol, Adrian Holmes, Christian Keyes, Isiah Adam, Kai Bradbury, Alvina August, Gattlin Griffith and Rob Benedict. And thatās not to mention Maddie Phillips and Alexander Calvert over on its college-set spinoff series, Gen VĀ too!Ā āFamily donāt end in blood,ā indeed.
