Batman: Caped Crusader
Though she refused to reveal what character sheâs voicing, Minnie Driver described Batman: Caped Crusader as âradâ in a new interview with Comic Book.
They will literally â some kind of alarm will go off, and Iâll be taken off in the back of a van if I told you anything about who Iâm playing. But Iâve got to tell you, itâs so rad. The whole show, itâs rad â itâs great.
Meanwhile, Bruce Timm told Empire the seriesâ takes place âso earlyâ in Batmanâs career itâs more âweek twoâ than Year One.
Batman is so early in his career that in the first episode, heâs still an urban myth. Itâs not Year One. Itâs more like âWeek Twoâ.
Later in the same interview, Timm detailed Hamish Linklaterâs âspookyâ take on Bruce Wayne.
I wanted to make him kind of weird, and spooky. If youâre stuck in a room with Batman, whether youâre Commissioner Gordon or Barbara Gordon or Renee Montoya, you donât feel comfortable. Youâre kind of like, âWhat is this guy? Whatâs this all about?â He weaponises Alfred. Heâs not Batmanâs surrogate father anymore. Heâs a guy thatâs going to enable him to fight crime. Thatâs how focused [Bruce] is. Itâs a weird take on him. But itâs something I donât think weâve seen before.
